'Spring Festival' is a hybrid variety bred from a cross with Camellia cuspidata. The miniature size flowers are mid-pink and rose-form double, with the stamens visible in the centre, and are produced prolifically from late March or early April, often continuing well into May. The growth habit is very narrow and upright, initially forming a very columnar plant. The leaves are relatively small and matt in appearance, rather than glossy, and the new growth in spring is initially bronze-coloured.
