Small, brilliant red, fragrant single flowers with a bright centre of golden anthers. Small, dark green leaves and an upright, dense, growth habit. Makes an excellent container plant, reaching about 1.5m (5ft) after 10 years. Flowers between November and January, so usually in flower at Christmas. Autumn-flowering camellias in general need a warm, sheltered position with plenty of sun during the summer months in order to form the flower buds, but this is particularly true of Yuletide.
