Small, brilliant red, fragrant single flowers with a bright centre of golden anthers. Small, dark green leaves and an upright, dense, growth habit. Makes an excellent container plant, reaching about 1.5m (5ft) after 10 years. Flowers between November and January, so usually in flower at Christmas. Autumn-flowering camellias in general need a warm, sheltered position with plenty of sun during the summer months in order to form the flower buds, but this is particularly true of Yuletide. Beautiful but fragile April 17, 2020 Reviewer: Prof. A.G. Konstas from Thessaloniki, Greece   Most impressive when it blooms.  Indeed, blooming can last for 3 months or more (including the X-mas season) so can last longer that the other sasanquas!  Sadly it can be quite fragile too (especially under the Greek sun).  I have lost one and another one is recovering, but not blooming.  Hopefully this will change this autumn!
