Medium sized, anemone form flowers, with white petals surrounding a centre of tightly ruffled, pale primrose-yellow petaloids. Moderately vigorous, with a compact, bushy and rather columnar growth habit. Flowers March to April.
Bred by Keith Brushfield in Australia, the flowers, leaves and growth habit of 'Brushfield's Yellow' are virtually indistinguishable from those of Camellia x williamsii 'Jury's Yellow'. Both are often referred to as being yellow-flowered camellias, but in fact the true, outer petals are white, and it is only the centre of the flower which has any yellow colouration.
